SEMA Gives  Aid To Over 50,000 Flood Victims Inn Taraba

The Taraba State Emergency Management Agency, Saturday  reaffirmed its commitment to transparent and effective distribution of relief materials to internally displaced persons (IDPs) and vulnerable residents affected by flooding across Taraba State.

The agency revealed that the relief items were provided by the state government alongside support from various donor agencies.

According to the Executive Secretary of the agency, Dr. Echuseh, the agency has so far distributed aid to over 50,000 IDPs and other victims impacted by flood disasters across the state.

Dr. Echuseh emphasized that SEMA remains one of the most sensitive agencies in responding to humanitarian needs, noting that its operations are guided by accountability and a strong commitment to service delivery.

She also urged residents of the tate to disregard reports circulating in some sections of the media questioning her management of the relief materials.

She maintained that under her leadership, SEMA would continue to improve its efforts in providing timely assistance to those in need.

The agency reiterated its commitment to supporting vulnerable populations and strengthening its response mechanisms to future emergencies across the state.
