Earth’s Climate Imbalance Reaching Record High, WMO Warns

 The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has reported that Earth's energy imbalance is at a 65-year record high, driving atmospheric warming and ice melt. The 2015-2025 period is confirmed as the warmest decade on record, with 2025 being the 2nd or 3rd hottest year at 1.43 °C above the 1850-1900 average.

Nigeria Weather & Environment: Intense heat and rising flood risks are threatening Nigeria, with over 23 cities recording temperatures above in recent reports.

In Lagos, a thunderstorm is expected with high humidity, with a low of 78°F.

European Weather: France is experiencing severe weather, suffering over 35 days of rain as flooding worsens in some areas, compounded by threats from Storm Pedro.

US Spring Outlook: The Climate Prediction Center forecasts above-normal temperatures for most of the Western US and Southeast. A generally low risk of widespread spring flooding is expected, despite potential issues in the Red River of the North and Ohio Valley.
